Formed in 2012, Activate Entertainment is a digital production house and an educational learning centre delivering workshops, programs, and creating digital experiences for our clients designed to excite, engage and educate in classrooms, offices, festivals, streets, showrooms and shopping centres across Australia.
Activate is looking for a Project Coordinator to assist the Director and Project Manager in the execution of its digital and educational projects and contracts. The Project Coordinator will have indirect reports including facilitators, 2D & 3D animators, graphic designers, filmmakers and programmers. Current clients include Government departments, large international companies, schools, shopping centres, car dealerships, small businesses and individuals.
Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role, sound organisational/time management skills and a strong interest and commercial acumen in emerging technologies such Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and App design, and a strong understanding of video production is required. The successful applicant will need strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Slack, Trello & Dapulse) as well as a professional communication etiquette for liaising with our external clients. Sound judgement and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines is also necessary.
Educational qualifications are not essential, but will assist in the successful execution of this role. Team leadership skills are desirable.
A valid Driver's Licence is required.
The Project Coordinator will be required to act as the point of contact and liaise with clients to ensure project requirements, scope and objectives are met. You will need to break projects into actions and set timeframes, and assign tasks to internal teams whilst identifying and resolving any issues that arise to ensure clients’ needs are met and communicate project status to stakeholders. Comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports will need to be created and maintained using project management tools and programs. Quality assurance tests will be required at all stages of the project lifecycle.
