Formed in 2012, Activate Entertainment is a digital production house and an educational learning centre delivering workshops and creating digital experiences for our clients designed to excite, engage and educate in classrooms, offices, festivals, streets, showrooms and shopping centres across Australia.
Activate is looking for a Project Coordinator to assist the Creative Director and Project Manager in the execution of its digital and educational projects and contracts. The Project Coordinator will oversee our production team of Animators and Developers.
Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role, sound organisational/time management skills and an interest in film and emerging technologies. The successful applicant will need strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Slack, Trello & Dapulse) as well as a professional communication etiquette for liaising with our external clients. Sound judgement and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines is also necessary, which means being able to effectively plan and prioritise large workloads.
Educational qualifications are not essential, but will assist in the successful execution of this role. Team leadership skills are also desirable. Commercial acumen and experience with Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, App design, and video production is highly desirable.
A valid Driver's Licence is required.
The Project Coordinator will be required to work with the Creative Director to translate project briefs into milestones and tasks, assigning them to our production team of Graphic Designers, Animators, 3D Animators and Developers, and ensuring they are completed on time and to budget. You will be hands on through the entire lifecycle of our projects, meeting clients with the Creative Director during onboarding, being the liaison between the client and our production team during production and revision cycles through to delivery. The Project Manager will ensure the production team has the material and information they require to complete their tasks ensuring deadlines are met. Comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports will need to be created and maintained using project management tools and programs.
