The Queensland Department of Education and Training were looking at strategies for engaging students and staff to use digital technologies. These strategies would enable them to investigate and create solutions to real world problems in their local community.
The design and development of a range of resources, presentations, activities and workshops delivered through supported incursions to regional and remote schools.
The Activate team visited 60 schools in a purpose fitted ‘Youtube Kids Bus’, teaching over 3000 students filmmaking and introducing them to emerging technologies.
As the leaders in the area of content creation, Activate Entertainment was engaged by the Department of Education and Training and YouTube Kids to deliver this exciting 20 week project where our facilitators drove around Queensland, from Pormpuraaw to Cunnamulla, Mt Isa to Murarrie and everywhere in between, delivering an exciting day filled with filmmaking, robotics, and augmented and virtual reality.
Activate Entertainments foundations are rooted in the education of the next generation, starting off teaching kids filmmaking in after school programs. This project was a dream come true.
